The International Kolkata Fashion Week™️ (IKFW)

The International Kolkata Fashion Week™️ (IKFW), organised by Pragaati Banglaa®️  by founder Prof Dr Arijit Kumar Neogy, took place in Kolkata, City of Joy recently. The event featured thirty-three designers, over two hundred models, and forty makeup artists and hair stylists on a seventy-foot ramp for over three days.

 

Some of the participating designers were Vandy Mehra, Rajdeep Roy, Sumit Dasgupta, Driems University, Chaman Chowdhury, Soumen Ghosh, Asish Mukherjee, Somsuvro Chakraborty, Ranjita Bhattacharyya, Arindam Banerjee and others. Beauty Pageant GGI was organised by Rita Maity.

 

Dr. Neogy incorporated exotic birds, pets, and plants to highlight ecosystem balance in his ELEGANCE sequence. Actress Koushani Mukherjee walked the ramp as a Celebrity Guest. Lakme Academy, Salt Lake, handled hair and makeup, Tathastu, Bappaditya, and Supratip were official photographers, and Emcee Rohit Shaw and Nicola Gomes choreographed the event. The sequence of Dr. Neogy aimed to celebrate peace, harmony, and universal brotherhood, aligning with the “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” philosophy from the Maha Upanishad.
